We're going to be switching from Deerfield/Visnetic (formally O'Reilly WebSite Pro) to IIS 6 on Windows 2003 Server within the next few weeks (with the hope that we can then move, sometime this summer, to Windows 2008 Server with a newer version of IIS).
We are currently running Deerfield/Visnetic as our web server for hosting FoxWeb web pages. We don't think it's an issue but we want to ensure that there are no issues when we install IIS 6 on the Windows 2003 Server box.
----------------------------------------- Microsoft IIS on Recent Windows versions In order for the FoxWeb setup program to be able to automatically configure IIS for FoxWeb, you must ensure that a number of required IIS features are installed properly, before running the FoxWeb setup program. If you happen to install FoxWeb before enabling these features, you will need to uninstall/reinstall FoxWeb, or run the setup program and select the Repair option.
-----------------------------------------
Specifically, we want to ensure that if, in the unlikely case that there are any problems with IIS 6, that we can easily revert back to Deerfield/Visnetic and be able to run the FoxWeb web pages once again on that web server.
