This is extremely surprising to me, unless the non-default path was invalid, or had security issues. If the path was identical to the Default Program Root, then my guess is that this is a coincidence.

Is it possible to restore the non-default path and try again?

By the way, one difference between channel 1 versus the rest of the channels, is that upon startup it tries to temporarily lock and pack the session table. I wonder if this is causing a failure.

Just got the restart of channel 1 (1 of 4 channels) to stopby change the program root to "default" in the Virtual Channel tab.

Regarding Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, are you going to be testingon that platform in the future? I really like Windows 7 Pro 64 bit andcertainly in the future more of us will be using that OS so it would be greatif Foxweb could be tested by you on that environment.

Yes, the restart issue continues. Right now, channel 1 (1 of 4) is restarting about every 1 second. I realize you do not "officialy" support Windows 7 64 Bit but it runs all my other 32 bit applications just fine. And we use VFP 9 SP 2 on a daily basis.

We have tried to get Show_cgi.fwx to run but we cannot make it run. We did place an empty show_cgi.fwx in the foxweb program root to no avail.

This what we see in the FWStart.log file:

Any ideas?

I have seen such issues in the past, but there can be different causes. Do you see the same restart issues when you uncheck the "Run as a Service" option in the FoxWeb configuration page and restart?

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
8G Ram + LARGE hard drives
Apache 2.2.17

I have everything working except it seems the Foxweb channels restart at least once a minute. You can see this in the FWstart.log file. When we have the Foxweb control Center open and have Foxweb stopped, and then start it, it can take up 1-2 minutes before we see the first Foxweb channel start. Sometimes it can take several minutes before all 4 channels start.

We use VFP 9 Service Pack 2 for all our database work and never have a problem. We are experienced VFP programmers.

Again, we can run Foxweb Admin, compile program, ect.so this restart problem is our main issue. Any ideas?

I wonder if other Windows 7 64 bit users are experiencing the same issue?

Thanks,

John Sullivan
