FoxWeb Forum

A great place to get help on FoxWeb-related issues is the FoxWeb Forum -- a Web-based message board, which was created so that the FoxWeb community can exchange ideas and help each other create better applications. You can access the FoxWeb Forum, by following the links on the FoxWeb Home Page. Our technical support team frequents this site and answers user questions. By posting your questions to the FoxWeb Forum, you are not only receiving quality support, but you are also allowing everybody else to benefit from the information that is made available to you.

Support via E-Mail

FoxWeb comes with three months of technical support at no charge. Please contact Eon Technologies (sales@eontech.com) for information about our extended support plans. Free Extended Technical support can be received by participating in our "Powered by FoxWeb" logo program.

Limited pre-purchase technical support is also provided to users evaluating FoxWeb.

Note that FoxWeb support does not normally cover HTML, CGI, or VFP programming issues. We can provide help with FoxWeb-specific inquiries, such as problems with the built-in functions and objects. The same is true about our documentation, which covers all FoxWeb-specific functionality, and gives a brief overview of the concepts involved in creating Internet applications. There are numerous excellent books and on-line resources that deal with HTML, VFP and Web-based programming in much more detail.

Before requesting technical support read the topics under the Troubleshooting section. If you continue having the problem, email your technical support request to support@foxweb.com. Include the following information:

• Your Name
• E-mail address
• Phone number where you can be reached
• FoxWeb serial number (if registered user)
• Operating system
• VFP version
• Running as a system service?
• Using run-time DLL?
• Web server software
• The version of FoxWeb you are using
• Directory where FoxWeb (FWSERVER.EXE) is installed
• Directory where foxweb.exe and foxweb.dll are installed
• The full URL being used
• Browser software/version
• The exact text of the error message displayed by the browser, or stored in the error log (if applicable).

You should also attach all pertinent scripts, static HTML files, and, if necessary, data files.
